International Commission on Large Dams

The design and maintenance of existing dams are a challenge for the whole engineering community. Numerical modelling has become an indispensable tool for design and safety assessment of dams. The ICOLD Committee on “Computational Aspects of Dam Analysis and Design” has, during its long activity, organized 15 Benchmark Workshops with the aim to provide an opportunity for engineers,researchers, and operators to present and exchange their experiences and the latest developments related to the proper use of numerical modelling for design, performance evaluation and safety assessment of dams.

The 16th Benchmark Workshop will provide an excellent opportunity for engineers, researchers, and operators to meet and present their experiences onnumerical modelling of dams.
